I’m Thandie Franziska, the photographer behind Franziska Studio in London. I love the small surprises that appear when light meets a surface, and the way a familiar material can suddenly look different.

Flowers and natural surfaces bring their own colour and character to my work. I make my own surfaces and bring each scene together through styling and composition, letting sunlight and shadow suggest its story. I want my photographs to celebrate the natural beauty in everyday things.

For me, making a photograph is a way of sharing that feeling: the pleasure of looking at something beautiful.
