Who is responsible
Franziska Studio is responsible for the personal information used to operate this shop and respond to enquiries. Contact thandie@franziskastudio.com about your information.
Information and purposes
When you order, we receive information such as your name, email, billing and delivery addresses, any telephone number you provide, purchased items and order / payment status. We use it to fulfil the order, arrange delivery, provide customer service and handle cancellations or disputes. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you, or steps you ask us to take before a contract.
When you send an enquiry, we use the details and message you provide to respond. This is based on pre-contractual steps where you ask about a purchase or project, and our legitimate interest in responding to other messages.
We retain transaction information where required for tax and accounting obligations. We also use relevant information for our legitimate interests in maintaining security, preventing fraud, managing the business and dealing with legal claims.
If you choose to receive shop or studio email updates, we use your contact details for that purpose with your consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in an update or email us. Essential order and service messages do not depend on marketing consent.
Website and cookie information
Our website is hosted by Squarespace. It receives technical information such as IP address, browser, device, network, pages viewed and interactions to operate and protect the website and provide site services and analytics. Squarespace also processes some visitor information for its own purposes, as described in its privacy policy.
Necessary cookies support functions such as the basket, checkout, security and remembering cookie choices. Performance, analytics and advertising cookie categories are off until you consent through the cookie banner. You can use Manage cookies to review your choices, decline non-essential cookies or withdraw consent. Restricting non-essential cookies does not stop necessary website and security processing.
Information we share
We use Squarespace for the website, online shop, forms and customer records. We share the order and contact information needed for production and delivery with Printful and the carriers delivering the order. We also use email and administrative service providers to communicate and keep business records. Information may be provided to professional advisers or authorities where needed for legal obligations or claims.
The payment solution is Squarespace Payments. Its payment-processing and fraud-prevention partners include Stripe and Sift, which process information under their own privacy policies. Payment details are handled through the payment services; we use the order and payment-status information provided to operate the shop.
If you choose a wallet or pay-later method offered at checkout, that provider also processes information needed to provide the payment method under its own privacy information.
Our enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent automated spam. Google processes relevant device and interaction information for that service under its privacy policy. This is used for our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse.

International processing
Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States and Europe. Their published data-processing terms describe the transfer arrangements, including applicable adequacy arrangements and approved contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your data or how to obtain a copy.
How long information is kept
We keep transaction records for the period needed to meet applicable tax and accounting requirements. Other enquiry and support information is kept while needed to deal with the enquiry, provide the service or resolve a dispute, taking account of relevant legal time limits. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or it is no longer needed. We may keep a minimal suppression record to respect an opt-out. These are retention criteria, rather than a claim that every provider automatically deletes data on a fixed date.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and stop direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email thandie@franziskastudio.com to exercise a right or raise a concern. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
We will update this notice when the way we use information changes.
